MY GOLDEN KURDISTAN
My Golden Kurdistan is a story of hope, resilience, and what endures. Rooted in a land of sun, mountains, and layered histories, it reflects a spirit that cannot be broken.
It explores uprooting—what is lost, carried, and remade—where memory shifts and identity reshapes across changing landscapes. An ode to survival as art, this work speaks to cultural pride, adaptation, and the search for home within oneself, even as the world continues to shift.
MARKONE
Childhood memories inspire my collection in Iraq Kurdistan and traditional games like "Gusilkane" and "Morkane" - cultural symbols that evoke unity and resilience - Influenced by the improvised clothing I wore growing up, like knockoff brands such as "Abibas" instead of Adidas, my collection is a playful yet thought-provoking commentary on third-world resourcefulness.
BA7AR
The Mediterranean is where my family meets each summer. It is a shared space of memory and connection. I have always been drawn to the ocean, finding a sense of stillness and reflection within it.
Its forms—starfish, shells, shifting textures—became points of reference, shaping a language of movement and fluidity.
